Friday's recap: Pacers 104, Bulls 92

Nov. 28--The Bulls finished an abbreviated circus trip 2-2 with a 104-92 loss to the Pacers on Friday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Paul George scored 33 points with eight rebounds to lead five Pacers in double figures. Nikola Mirotic's season-high 25 points led the Bulls, who shot 34.8 percent with 15 turnovers.

Turning point: The final minute of the third quarter. After trailing by 17 in the first half, the Bulls pulled to within five with a chance to cut it to three. But Kirk Hinrich missed a jumper, George scored at the other end and the Bulls followed with two more misses and a turnover as the Pacers finished the quarter with a nine-point lead.

Tribune player of game: George. Surely he remembered these teams' meeting in Chicago earlier this month when Jimmy Butler blocked his game-winning attempt at the buzzer.

Key number: 4. Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol each made four field goals, missing a combined 30 shots.

The quote: "They're playing as well as anyone in the league." Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg on the Pacers

Injury update: Mike Dunleavy and Aaron Brooks missed for the Bulls. Doug McDermott fell ill and didn't play in the second half. Jordan Hill was a late scratch with a lower back injury.
