Dec. 12--Patrick Kane scored to extend his franchise-record streak with at least one point to 25 games, Jonathan Toews also had a goal and Corey Crawford made 25 saves to lead the Blackhawks to a 2-0 victory over the Jets on Friday night at the United Center.
Key moment
With the Hawks on the power play in the second period, Kane took a no-look, cross-ice feed from Teuvo Teravainen right on his tape and lifted a shot past Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck into the top left-hand corner of the net to extend his streak.
Chris Kuc's Three Stars
1. Toews: The captain set the tone early with the game's first goal.
2. Crawford: Recorded his third shutout of the season and 15th of his career.
3. Kane: Winger keeps rolling with another point.
Big number
3: Times this season the Hawks have recorded two power-play goals in a game.
The quote
"It's something I'm trying not to think about too much. I just go out and play the game. The last few games, I don't think I've played as well as I probably could have, but sometimes you end up with those chances and you can take advantage of getting points. Now, I'm kind of looking just to improve on my game."
