Ed Sheeran Hampden gig tickets cancelled for fans and NHS staff hours before doors open

Ed Sheeran fans have been left devastated after their tickets were cancelled just hours before his sold-out Hampden Park gig tonight.

Emergency service workers are amongst those who have been told their tickets were no longer valid for the second night of the hitmaker's Glasgow shows.

It is thought hundreds of ticket holders have been affected.

Terminally ill Scot marries partner in whirlwind 24-hour wedding organised by NHS staff

A terminally ill man has married his wife in a whirlwind wedding after NHS staff organised the whole event in less than 24 hours.

David Hughes, a palliative care patient at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Dundee, was desperate to marry his bride-to-be Kathleen Murray.

And when he brought forward his big day, staff at the specialist palliative care unit at Roxburghe House pulled out all the stops to make it happen.

Hibs star Ryan Porteous guilty of throwing tumbler in pub which cut woman's head

Hibs star Ryan Porteous has been convicted of throwing a plastic tumbler in a pub which caused a cut to a woman’s head.

The 23-year-old defender appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday and pled guilty to the charge.

The player admitted culpably and recklessly throwing the tumbler which struck Siobhan Brett to her injury.

Martin Lewis issues urgent energy bill warning to every household over tariff fixes ahead of next price cap

Last week, Martin Lewis shared new tariff deals being offered to some existing consumers across the UK which could help millions of households reduce the impact of the next Ofgem price cap due to kick in on October 1.

The financial guru took to social media on Thursday to warn existing customers that those deals may not be around for much longer due to a “spike” in wholesale energy prices which could lead to them being withdrawn by suppliers and replaced by “costlier” tariffs.

Three killers who executed Blantyre man with sawn off shotgun over drugs feud jailed

Young dad Graham Williamson was gunned down outside his own home in Blantyre (Daily Record)

Three Scots killers who gunned down a man in a cold-blooded execution carried out in broad daylight were today jailed for life for the murder.

Graham Williamson, 26, was shot at his home in Caithness Street, Blantyre, in South Lanarkshire, following a simmering feud.

Mr Williamson was targeted with a sawn off shotgun in the fatal attack by Derek Felvus, Thomas Duris and James Baillie, who were all convicted of committing the murder on August 17 in 2020, following a trial last month.
