Ayrshire is ready for a burst of summer tomorrow with sizzling temperatures set to hit the south west.
Forecasters are predicting 25 degree heat in Ayr as the country basks in a one day heatwave.
It follows a spell of largely cooler weather throughout June and July.
The heat won't last long though, with much colder temperatures set to return by the weekend.
A Met Office spokesman said: "A brief very warm spell is likely for many areas at the end of this week with a good deal of sunshine, although increasing cloud may bring rain to the northwest."
