What’s Going To Happen
Air Force continues to be confounding.
Just when it seems like it’s going to be a major factor – getting by Colorado – and battles in a loss to Boise State, it loses a heartbreaker against Navy and now has to deal with a rested Fresno State defense.
The Bulldogs haven’t been anything special – the wins over Sacramento State and New Mexico State were less than scintillating – but the defense is still fantastic against the run. The linebacking corps its terrific, the D is allowing just 110 rushing yards per game, and the team is fantastic at owning the time of possession battle.
Chalk this week’s performance up to having time to get ready.
Air Force is better at controlling tempo, and the option offense keeps on working, but now it’s dealing with a rested Fresno State defense that’s have two weeks to prepare.
The Bulldog offense won’t do enough to be able to pull away, but the defense will do its part to hold down the Air Force O just enough to survive on the road.
