BOISE, Idaho_ Fresno State scored a touchdown on third-and-goal from the 1-yard line in overtime Saturday night at snowy Albertsons Stadium to beat Boise State 19-16 and win the Mountain West football championship.
Boise State scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter to tie the score 13-13 but the PAT was blocked, which led to the overtime. The Broncos settled for a field goal on their possession and the Bulldogs scored a touchdown.
Boise State running back Alexander Mattison was named offensive MVP of the game with 40 carries for 200 yards and a TD.
