Fresh Premier League side ready to move for Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall - report

Sheffield United have become the latest Premier League side to be linked with a move for Joe Worrall.

The Guardian report the Blades are monitoring Worrall and Blackburn defender Darragh Lenihan as the seek to add strength in depth at the back.

Arsenal and Newcastle were both linked with a move for Worrall at the end of 2019 on the back of his tremendous form for Nottingham Forest this season.

Worrall, 22, has played 27 times for the Reds having found himself out of favour a year ago as he spent a season on loan at Rangers.

The former England Under-21 international is contracted to Forest until the summer of 2022 and would command a hefty fee if the Reds chose to sell.

However, they are under no pressure to do so with Worrall unlikely to want to leave given his affinity for his hometown club.

The Blades have already signed one player from Forest in the last 12 months in Ben Osborn. However, Osborn has struggled to make an impact at Bramall Lane, making just six appearances.
