Tottenham target Morgan Gibbs-White has not travelled with the Nottingham Forest squad for the start of their pre-season tour to Portugal, amid ongoing uncertainty over his future.
Gibbs-White was absent when the Forest squad that travelled to southern Portugal on Monday.
Forest say he has not joined up with the squad due to a private matter that is not transfer related. Forest expect the midfielder to join up with the squad later this week.
Forest are considering legal action over Tottenham’s interest in Gibbs-White and are at looking whether a confidentiality agreement in his £60million release clause has been breached.

They say they never gave Spurs permission to speak to Gibbs-White, who is thought to be keen on a move to north London.
His Forest team-mate Ola Aina backed claims Gibbs-White has remained professional, saying at the weekend: “He's keeping it professional; I don't know the ins and outs of that.
“He was here today, playing, and he's training, keeping fit as normal.
“At the end of the day, we're all professionals - we've got a job to do and that's what Morgan is doing right now. He's keeping it professional."
Spurs have already signed Mohammed Kudus in a £55m deal from West Ham this summer and are targeting more signings for new manager Thomas Frank.
