The GUM team has been scouring the internet all day looking for interesting music-related links. No luck there, but we did find these:
· New R Kelly! It's about rising up! Though sadly not flying. It's a response to the Virginia Tech massacre, apparently, though it might equally apply to people having trouble getting out of bed on a workday.
· This just in from Bjork.com: "NPR Music and WNYC (New York's Public Radio) will offer a live Web stream of Björk's sold-out performance from the United Palace in New York City on Saturday, May 5. The concert will be streamed live at www.NPR.org/music."
· Tori Amos continues to give odd interviews, this time to the Toronto Star: "I've always thought Johnny Depp may know how a woman tastes, but I know how she thinks. We're the same age, Johnny Depp and I."
· Finally, a flower garden inspired by Iggy Pop.
· Now Snoop Dogg's in trouble in Canada. Soon he'll be banned from the entire commonwealth.
· Watch out Floridian music critics: If you want to sell your CDs to a second-hand store in Florida, soon you're going to need to give a thumb print to do so legally. No more selling off your "not for resale" freebies to make a little money on the side...
