Fresh images have emerged of Joe Gomez and Raheem Sterling in England training.
Sterling remains with Gareth Southgate's squad at St. George's Park but has been dropped for matches against Montenegro and Kosovo after clashing with Gomez earlier in the week.
The duo faced-off at Anfield in Liverpool's 3-1 victory on Sunday and the Manchester City star is said to have continued the feud in the England canteen the following day.
"There have been a couple of statements from our camp and I think it is important to come and speak publicly about that so that our players don't need to deal with that moving forward," manager Southgate said on Tuesday.
"I think I am dealing with a very young squad and we're in a sport where emotions often run high.
"Raheem in his post last night explained for a very brief moment his emotions ran over. It would be correct to say that's not the same for Joe. These things happen in football."
The images taken today [Wednesday] show Gomez with a red scratch below his right eye.
