Fresh controversy erupts over Kneecap’s Glastonbury performance

  • Avon and Somerset Police are assessing videos of comments made by musical acts Bob Vylan and Kneecap at Glastonbury Festival to determine if any offences were committed.
  • Rapper Bob Vylan led crowds in chants of "Free, free Palestine" and "Death, death to the IDF", prompting the Culture Secretary to condemn the remarks and the BBC to say it would not make the performance available on demand.

  • Kneecap member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh faces a terror charge for allegedly displaying a Hezbollah flag at a previous gig, with his next court hearing scheduled for 20 August.
