Leeds United being backed for Championship title as Norwich City stutter and odds shorten

The Championship campaign is hurtling towards it’s conclusion and there are just four games to play, including two days of action over the Easter weekend.

Norwich City, Leeds United and Sheffield United continue to charge towards promotion to the Premier League and it was a fantastic weekend for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, as they were the only one of that trio to secure three points.

After Norwich’s surprise draw with Wigan Athletic on Sunday, the Canaries’ title chances, according to OddsChecker, have shifted to 1/7, while Leeds’ own hopes received a boost as they have now shortened to 5/1.

The Canaries are still favourites to be playing in the top-flight next season though, as short as 1/100, with Leeds ranked at 2/9 ahead of Sheffield United at 4/5 and Aston Villa, who defeated fellow playoff hopefuls Bristol City, are priced at 9/4.

At the foot of the table, Ipswich Town’s fate has been sealed and Bolton Wanderers are expected to join them, with bookies no longer offering odds on the club to be relegated, while Rotherham are 1/4 to be the third side playing in League One next season.
