Nottingham Forest-linked Alejandro Grimaldo has reportedly decided he will not extend his contract at Benfica amid Premier League interest.
The 27-year-old has entered the final months of his deal in Lisbon after joining the side from Barcelona in 2016. Forest are reportedly one of the teams interested in securing his services, along with Fulham.
Both teams have reportedly previously held talks with the left-back, while Ligue 1 outfit Nice are also said to have made an appealing financial offer though a move to English football appears more "attractive" for the player. A host of European clubs including Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have all been linked with Grimaldo in recent weeks.

According to Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda, Grimaldo has decided he will not extend his stay, despite the Eagles' best efforts. He "will leave" as a free agent in the summer.
The Spain international has been an ever present player in Benfica's squad over the years, having racked up a total of 293 appearances while providing 87 goal contributions.
