Fresh CCTV shows missing woman took bus to Glasgow city centre before vanishing

New CCTV pictures of a missing woman have revealed she took a bus from her hometown before vanishing.

A massive search is underway for Soung Nguyen from Paisley who was was last seen in the Calside area of Paisley at around 9.40am on Sunday.

Earlier this week officers released CCTV footage of the 49-year-old in a Co-op store in the town's Neilston Road.

Soung was spotted there at 10.33am on Sunday wearing a green jacket.

Now new footage has emerged of the Vietnamese woman, who speaks 'limited English', travelling to Glasgow city centre by bus from the town.

The 49-year-old was seen on CCTV in the Co-op store at 10.33am on Sunday, August 22, and then took the number 51 McGills bus at 10.42am and got off at 11:09am on Cross Arthurlie Street in Barrhead.

From here she took the number 3 McGills bus from Main Street in Barrhead and got off at 12.42 on Hope Street, near to Waterloo Street in Glasgow.

The last sighting of her was at 1.09pm on Argyle Street, at the junction with Union Street when she was on foot.

Officers continue to review CCTV footage in efforts to trace her movements from here.

Soung was seen in Glasgow city centre (Police Scotland)

Police have urged anyone who saw Soung in Glasgow on Sunday afternoon or has seen her since to report sightings to the force/

Sergeant Gordon Smith said: “Our enquiries are now focussing on the Glasgow area as we know that Soung travelled here on Sunday.

"She speaks Vietnamese with limited English and I would ask anyone who could have seen Soung, or spoken to her, to please come forward.”

Soung is described as being of slight build, around 4ft 11ins tall and wearing black leggings, black socks and black sandals. She initially had a pink hoody on however was last seen wearing a green jacket.

Those with information, please call Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 1511 of August 22.
