Fresh appeal for 'high risk' missing Ashington man to get in touch

Police have made another appeal to find high risk missing man Rory McAlpine from Northumberland to get in touch.

Rory, 46, was reported missing after he was last seen at his home address on Norfolk Close, Ashington at about 10.40am on Friday.

Northumbria Police officers have already released his picture and asked for help from the public to locate the high-risk missing person.

But Rory has still not been found and both his family and police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Superintendent Deborah Alderson is leading the search for Rory and has directly appealed to him to get in touch with police.

She said: "We are very concerned about Rory's welfare and he has now been missing for more than 24 hours.

"We have been looking at CCTV, taking statements from people who have spoken to Rory in recent days and working closely with his family.

"They are understandably very worried about him and just want to make sure that he is okay and let him know he has their support.

"Following our appeal on Friday we have had some calls from people who may have seen Rory and we would once again ask for help from the public.

"If you think you have seen Rory or anyone matching his description in the past 24 hours then please pick up the phone and call police.

"I would also appeal directly to Rory to get in touch with officers if he does read this appeal. We are all worried about you and your family just want you home."

Rory is described as white, with dark grey shaved hair and facial stubble. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, white trainers and wearing blue jeans or grey tracksuit bottoms. He also has a tattoo of a black and white rose on his right arm.
