A travel influencer has gone viral for his cutting list of plane best practices.
Ben Keenan has spared no prisoners with his rundown of what he sees as the dos and don'ts of commercial aviation, in a tongue-in-cheek video poking fun at habits that can be divisive.
In a TikTok video which has received 60,000 likes in a week, the 30-year-old condemned a whole series of habits which wind him up.
That includes passengers who don't greet flight attendants when boarding, or parents who change their children's nappies in the cabin rather than using the toilet's changing table.
For those in the aisle seat, he demands that people try and keep elbows, feet, and other body parts tucked away from the aisle when cabin crew members walk by.
Sleeping if you're in the aisle seat is also a no-no, unless you're prepared to be woken up if others need to get out of the row.
If you're reclining your seat, make sure the people behind you aren't using the tray table before you do, the travel influencer demands.
Bringing fish products or any other food with a strong smell is an absolute no, Ben says, while headphones for both adults and children is mandatory.
When the plane lands, Ben says well mannered passengers do not clap or stand until the terminal has been reached, even if your knees ache.
Shoes should never be removed, Ben said.
The list of rules were enough to aggravate some air passengers who admitted that they often fell short of Ben's high standards.
"Nope… definitely taking my shoes off!" one top commenters admitted. "And I'm not turning back to check… I will recline gently though."

Another viewer said they agreed with the majority of the list, expect that they would continue to take their shoes off on a flight.
"I think it’s fine to take shoes off as long as there isn’t any smell and you don’t put them on the seat in front of you," another shoe remover agreed.
The majority of people in the comments were in Ben's corner, explaining how seriously they took plane etiquette.
"I approach every flight like I'm being graded, and the flight attendants will give me an A+ for my flight," one person wrote.
Another added: "People who don't use headphones on planes especially for kids are the worst."y
A third wrote: "I would quite literally exclusively fly with an airline that enacts all of these."
Ben told Insider that his aim with the video was to take a "light-hearted, almost satirical approach to venting frustrations that we're all feeling when traveling".
"After all, we've all come across someone during our travels that we wish we could look directly in the eyes and say, 'You know, there's a kinder, more efficient, more conscientious way to approach what you're doing right now,'" he said.
