Frequent flyer believes you should always choose 'worst' seat on plane

A frequent flyer has revealed why it is best to choose the 'worst' seat when travelling. John Burfitt says he always picks the window seat beside the toilet.

Considered to be the worst seat he believes that it can make the flight experience more bearable for those who cannot splash out on expensive upgrades. After once spending an entire flight being kicked in the back by a passenger, John vowed never to repeat the experience.

The Mirror reports that nearing the end of the hellish journey, he walked down the aisle to the bathroom and realised there was nothing behind the last row of seats but a wall. He realised if he sat there, no one could bother him again.

Writing for escape.com.au, he said: "In that instant, I decided the back row would be the only place I would sit on a long flight from now on. Sure enough, on my next flight, I booked into the back row of the cabin and, even better, my seat was the one right next to the window.

"As I nestled into that corner, I discovered what true airline love is about. I had just found the best seat on the plane."

John says other benefits of the seat include not getting hit by the drinks trolly, passengers stretching and having the room to lean into the corner wall.
