French TV star offers Motherwell fans 'free' ski lessons in hilarious video

A French TV star has invited Motherwell FC fans to take up skiing lessons with his dad in his latest video message.

Renaud Marquot hit the Scottish headlines after being thrown out of the Global Energy Arena in Dingwall after going on the pitch to film ’Well fans celebrating their late clincher in a 2-1 Scottish Premiership win over Ross County on Boxing Day last year.

The Frenchman was going to cover Ross County and do a tour of the Highlands, but after being advised to visit Motherwell he packed up his gear and headed to Lanarkshire.

RMC Sport journalist Marquot then took his camera on a tour of the North Lanarkshire town, visiting places like Club 100, and his company televised the Lanarkshire derby at Fir Park, which Hamilton Accies won 2-1.

Since then he has encouraged some of his countrymen to invest in Motherwell FC and says now even his dad, Olivier, is a fan of the club.

In a video skiing with his dad, who is a retired skiing instructor, Renaud, discusses his dad’s own Scottish experience.

Olivier said Renaud’s mum was pregnant with him at the time, when they visited Scotland and that he drank a lot of whisky while on that trip.

Renaud said: “My dad said he has seen my report of Motherwell on the tv and the Scottish guys are so cool. C’mon the ’Well.”
