French prosecutors seek prison sentences and social media bans for streamers in Jean Pormanove case

French prosecutors have asked for prison sentences and social media bans for two streamers accused of taking part in violent and humiliating online broadcasts involving Jean Pormanove before his death. Streamers Owen Cenazandotti, known online as Naruto, and Safine Hamadi appeared in court in Nice, France, over videos streamed on Kick between 2023 and 2025. Prosecutors said the content showed repeated mistreatment and called it a serious issue rather than simple entertainment. A verdict in the case is expected on August 5.
