Focal, the luxury French headphone and high-end speaker brand, is launching a range of colorful new designs to its Listen Wireless range of Bluetooth headphones. Launching on May 1, the Wireless Chic models will be available in three new colors: Olive, Purple and Blue. The new designs should attract a more fashion conscious consumer bored with the ubiquitous black headphones currently dominating the market.
Listen Wireless Chic uses Bluetooth version 4.1 which means it’s compatible with the high-quality apt-X codec. According to Focal, the ultra-flexible headband makes these headphones lighter to wear thanks to reduced pressure on the head. The memory foam ear cushions are made from fabric and leatherette material and promise excellent passive noise isolation, a key feature of Listen Wireless Chic. Focal has kept the design of the folding ear-pieces, which makes them easy to use on the go, while the scratch-resistant finish should provide a durable and long-lasting finish.
These stylish headphones offer up to 20 hours of listening time and can be recharged in just three hours. They can be left on standby for up to 240 hours between charges. With a wireless range of up to 15 metres, the Listen Wireless Chic offer freedom of movement. The dual omnidirectional microphone system with Clear Voice Capture software means you should experience improved voice clarity even in noisy environments. Also included is NFC technology for easy one-tap connectivity with NFC-compatible smartphones.
Music controls – for skipping tracks, pausing music and taking calls – are located on the ear-cups for quick and easy access. The various functions are operated by a simple and intuitive series of short or long finger presses on the ear-cups.
Voice notifications and differently colored LEDs show the status of the headphones, the amount of battery charge remaining as well as the state of Bluetooth pairing. The Listen Wireless Chic can remember up to eight Bluetooth devices and two devices can be connected at the same time. This means you can be listening to music on your tablet and still answer a call from a smartphone at the same time. A USB and an audio cable for wired use are supplied along with a soft carry case to keep the headphones safe.
