A French fugitive suspected of murdering his wife and children has reportedly been arrested at Glasgow Airport.
Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, 58, was detained after coming off an Easyjet flight this afternoon, according to French media reports.
He was allegedly travelling from Charles De Gaulle Airport with a fake passport but his fingerprint is believed to have revealed his true identity at passport control.
According to AFP, he was spotted by police at the airport before his flight, but they did not have time to intervene and warned Interpol.
He was wanted in France in connection with the death of his wife Agnès, 48, and his children, Arthur, 21, Thomas, 18, Anne, 16, and Benoît, 13, in Nante, April 2011.
The bodies of the family were found buried in the garden of their home. Dupon de Ligonnes, was nowhere to be seen and is considered the main suspect. He has been missing since.
The high profile case, also known as the "killing of Nantes", has been in the news for many years.
