French cyclist wins Tour de France Femmes in triumphant return to road racing

  • She clinched the overall victory by winning the final 124.1km stage, launching a decisive attack in the last seven kilometres before crossing the finish line and falling to the ground in tears.
  • Ferrand-Prevot's triumph marks a successful return to road racing after a seven-year hiatus.
  • Demi Vollering finished second overall for the second consecutive year, with Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney securing third place.
  • Other jersey winners included Lorena Wiebes for points, Elise Chabbey for Queen of the Mountains, and Nienke Vinke as the best young rider.
