French COVID-19 tracing app to be available from June 2: PM

The French government's contact-tracing app to curb the new coronavirus outbreak spread will be available from June 2, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe told a news conference on Thursday.

The so-called "StopCovid" app in France was approved by the lower house of parliament on Wednesday.

France is preparing to enter a second phase in its relaxation of lockdown rules on June 2.
