A French bulldog who was only expected to have a maximum of six puppies ended up having 13 in what her owner believes is a world record.
Laura Fox, from Glasgow, said trouper Roxy and the "lucky" 13 are all happy and healthy.
She said she was told her dog was only expecting five or an absolute maximum of six puppies, but "they just kept coming," GlasgowLive reports.
The proud owner said:"I’m only used to 6 puppies, but we are coping well, lots of sleepless nights!
"I was told we'd have four plus puppies - I didn't expect this!
"They just kept coming. It got to eight and I thought 'right, that's her', but nope, she had another five.
"People say 13 is unlucky - not for me."
Laura said she believes Roxy shares the world record for the French Bulldog puppies with another dog who, coincidentally, is also named Roxy.
"It's a world record. Only one other dog has done it and she was called Roxy too!".
And while Roxy may steal the limelight, Laura was keen to ensure the father, Henri, gets some recognition too as and branded him "one of the top stud dogs in Scotland".
The puppies are yet to be named but it is thought Laura's young son Frankie wants to give them all Christmas names.
Laura went on say how her family would love to keep all 14 dogs but acknowledged they could become hard to manage, so it is likely the puppies will soon be looking for a new home to care for them.
"I’m looking for forever pet homes for them, might keep one or two," she said.
