French Bulldog puppies dumped in crate on freezing alleyway need a home

A crate of dumped French Bulldog puppies has been found in an alleyway.

The dogs had been left without food, water, or even a blanket to keep them warm in freezing conditions.

Dogs Trust Merseyside is now caring for the three puppies and hope to find them a forever home.

The pups, who are fifteen weeks old, have been named Polar, Arctic and Chilly.

Georgina Lowery, Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, in Huyton, said: "It is always shocking when dogs are abandoned in this way, particularly on a cold winter’s day.

"Luckily, they were found before they came to any serious harm.

"They are absolutely adorable."

An online search trend analysis has found that French Bulldogs, Pugs and Rottweilers are the most sought-after breed in the country.

It is unclear why this particular litter of French Bulldogs have been dumped, however, Dogs Trust said that the pups have an uncomfortable skin condition.

Georgia said: "Unfortunately, they are being treated for a very uncomfortable skin condition which will have been developing for some time before they were abandoned, but we are hopeful they will make a full recovery.

"We are now speaking to families who have been preparing to welcome a puppy into their life for some time, about giving them their forever homes."
