Fremantle festival, the nation’s longest running community festival, celebrates its 110th year of hosting of talent, culture and creativity. The program spans from architectural discoveries atop Skybar at sunset; to a belly dance, gypsy flamenco and samba carnival; pearling tours; and a portrait prize exhibition.

On this year’s musical line up is Katie Noonan and her new band Vanguard; Melbourne three-piece The Basics – Kris Shroeder, Wally De Becker (aka Gotye) and Tim Heath (who formed The Basics Rock’n’Roll political party in 2014) and Perth singer, songwriter and human rights campaigner Abbe May.

Additionally Rhys Nicholson will host The Biggest Comedy Festival on Earth; while the Australasian Same Sex Dance Championships and a Halloween Ball will be held before the festival parade and closing party.
