GCSE results: The best freebies on offer to students, from Nando's to Wagamama

Today is the day when anxious teens in England, Wales and Northern Ireland discover their GCSE results.

And after all the studying and exam stress of recent months, what better way to celebrate (or commiserate) than by enjoying free food?

Several famous food chains and restaurants, including Nandos, Wagamama, Las Iguanas, and Papa Johns, will give away freebies to hungry pupils.

Nando’s

The chicken experts have brought back their Results Day offer, entitling students to a free starter or quarter chicken when showing their results slip at the till.

Results can be sent by text, email, or printed copy.

The Asian food chain is offering a 25 per cent discount across their whole menu, and not just for one day.

The discount will be available from August 14-20 for A level students, and August 21-27 for GCSEs, all you have to do is sign up to their loyalty programme and show your results at any of their participating restaurants.

The Mexican food chain will give GCSE students a free plate of their yummy dessert when they show them their exam certificates.

Wildwood in Covent Garden or Shaftesbury Avenue

If Italian is more your bag, Wildwood in central London is offering a free dessert or starter, as well as a free Coke Zero if you dine in on results day.

Just show your certificate to qualify.

Frankie & Benny’s

If you need a sweet treat, Doughnation have you covered.

You will receive a free dessert when you buy a pizza here on results day.

Cote Brasserie

Parlez-vous français? Then you are in luck. The chain is offering free steak frites or a vegan burger if you studied French, or a free dessert for any other subject.
