Liverpool businesses looking to export to China - the world's largest country by population - will be treated to a FREE workshop later this year.
The event will take place thanks to a collaboration between Business Live, the Liverpool ECHO, Liverpool City Region Business Post and the Department for International Trade (DIT).
The Liverpool City Region has a long history of trade links with China, and Liverpool itself is proud of its links with Shanghai.
In 2019, Liverpool and Shanghai celebrate their 25 year anniversary of being sister cities, and the event next month will look at how the partnership and opportunities in China can benefit NW companies - and what support is available from local networks.
The DIT's official guide to doing business in China says: "China is the great economic success story of the past 30 years. It’s now the world’s largest economy and a huge and expanding market for UK businesses.
"Jaguar Land Rover is the UK’s biggest exporter to China, but is just one of many UK companies now operating in this important market."
Liverpool Council Deputy Mayor and cabinet member for business Gary Millar will open the event to talk about the relationship between Liverpool and Shanghai and the 25th anniversary, and there will be a host of panelists sharing their successes, expertise and advice.
As well as that, the event will hear from a business support panel - those providing practical support for those active in China, including Jessica Zhang of the China Britain Business Council.
The event will be taking place on July 11 at Avenue HQ’s newest premises at 4 St Paul’s Square in Liverpool city centre. It will begin at 10am with refreshments followed by a panel of speakers. It will conclude with a Chinese-themed lunch for all delegates.
