Free sticker room opens up at intu Victoria Centre for family fun during the Easter school holidays

It's an unusual idea but one that parents might find useful during the two week Easter break - especially as it's completely free.

A previously empty unit opened today (April 8) next to Greggs in the lower mall of the intu Victoria Centre as a blank canvas for kids to decorate with stickers.

Inside is a white bed, piano, tables, chairs, kitchen sink and more - with not a drop of colour in sight. At least that was the case when it first opened.

The free interactive pop-up exhibition - which runs until April 22 - carries an open invitation for youngsters to decorate with colourful stickers.

Organisers hope that visitors will create an Instagrammable burst of colour over the next two weeks.

Paige and Ellie Sleigh are among the first to add colour to the sticker room at intu Victoria Centre (intu Victoria Centre)

“We’re always on the hunt for exciting experiences for our customers and the Easter holiday presents the perfect opportunity to do that," said Nigel Wheatley, general manager at intu Victoria Centre.

"We want to make our customers smile, and this year, we’re doing something we’ve never done before that would allow people to come together in a very different way.

“Over the course of the two weeks, we can’t wait to see the technicolour transformation of the pure white space as our customers let their creativity run wild. We’ll also be filming a time-lapse of the whole exhibition so customers can see the impact their own efforts have made on the final piece.”

The sticker room is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
