Free live jazz sessions have arrived at Camp and Furnace

Camp and Furnace has announced its newest venture, free live jazz performances and jam sessions.

The Baltic Jazz events will take place weekly, offering an evening of live jazz, soul, and RnB every Thursday.

The jazz sessions will welcome a host of top UK musicians to perform live, followed by a jam session. The evenings aim to act as a “workshop for musicians to trade phrases and ideas.”

Camp and Furnace director Paul Speed welcomed the new event saying: “We’re really excited to be bringing together world-class musicians and an audience in what should be a seamless blend. Lots of top UK musicians are coming together to perform a range of jazz, neo-soul and RnB - so it will be a lot of fun.”

The weekly jazz events will consist of two 45-minute live performances, then a one-hour jam session.

Hosted at Camp and Furnace at the Baltic Triangle, the evenings will kick off at 8pm and come to a close at midnight. All jazz sessions are ticketless, and free to enter.
