A festive dog walk featuring Christmas jumpers, a pet photo shoot and a screening of 101 Dalmatians is taking place this weekend in Manchester-
Best of all is that it’s completely free of charge for those who wish to attend any part of the day.
The event, hosted by Ex-Paw in collaboration with FEC who own the Meadowside Manchester development, takes place Saturday, December 18 at Angel Meadow Park, located just a short walk from Manchester Victoria station.

Attendees are encouraged to meet at 12:30pm at the park where a festive photo shoot will take place before the group walk begins with Christmas jumpers among both dogs and humans are encouraged.
The organisers expect the walk to last approximately an hour starting at 1:30pm, following a gentle three-mile trail along the River Irk through Collyhurst before finishing at independent food venue GRUB in Cheetham Hill.
The weekly food fair, which recently took over The Red Bank Project, allows traders to set up shop, and so food offerings can change on a weekly basis.
Previous traders who have popped up include the likes of Urban Buns, who serve bao buns stuffed with plant-based fillings such as buffalo tofu and jackfruit, The Ottomen, Knead Pizza and pierogies courtesy of Polski Garmaz.
After attendees have explored the fair they can move across to Chapel Town Picturehouse at 2:30pm for a dog-friendly screening of 101 Dalmatians.
It is completely free of charge and attendees do not have to participate in the whole day if they don’t wish to.
Ex-Paw is a ‘doggy community’ exclusive to Manchester, aiming to help owners socialise and share information, as well as putting on a variety of activities including photo shoots, walks and discounts.
Their partner for the event FEC has recently opened a development which compromises of 756 pet-friendly apartments.
