Live cooking demos, adult colouring and children's baking are among the activities taking place at IKEA this weekend in celebration of the Nottingham superstore's 21st anniversary.
The Swedish furniture giant will also be giving away free cinnamon buns and hosting performances from local musicians across the bank holiday (May 3-6).
The schedule of events have been organised to not only coincide with the Giltbrook store's landmark birthday but also as the official launch of the site's major revamp.
The improvements include an extension with larger and more modern showroom, a completely new market hall and a changing places toilet facility which has extra features and more space to meet the needs of disabled shoppers and their families or carers.
Barbara Harrison, IKEA Nottingham Store Manager says, “We’re really excited for all the upcoming celebrations taking place in IKEA Nottingham over the bank holiday weekend. We look forward to welcoming our customers to our newly refurbished store, giving them the chance to take part in these celebrations and enjoy this anniversary with us.”
