Free entry to Blair Castle and Atholl Estates in Perthshire for local residents

Residents living near Blair Castle and Atholl Estates will be able to gain entry on the day the gardens reopen.

To mark the opening of the garden gates for the first time since March, and as the first opportunity to welcome back the local community, the estate is offering free entry to the gardens to those living in the PH18 postcode on Wednesday, July 15.

The estate will also be collecting donations for the Blair Atholl Resilience Group, which has brought people together to provide essential support over the last few months.

The castle team is kicking off the fundraiser with its own £500 contribution, which will be presented to Anthony Dawson from the charity at 3.30pm on that Wednesday, while the restaurant will be offering free refreshments to members of the group as a way to say thank you.

All people need for the free admission is to show proof of their address.

Chloe Thornton, marketing executive at Blair Castle, said: “The teams across the estate have been working incredibly hard to ensure we can offer a safe environment for visitors to enjoy a day out, or a much-needed holiday following months of limited travel.

“There’s something for everyone at Blair Castle, come and see for yourselves.”
