Customers at the Coatbridge branch of Burger King can earn free cheeseburgers for a year in a special one-day promotion marking a month since its opening.
The first 100 customers to visit the drive-through at Caldeen Road in Whifflet on Thursday, February 11 and share a “cheesy joke” with staff will be rewarded with a special token – in the form of a limited-edition crown-shaped air freshener.
It can then be used as a voucher to receive a cheeseburger free of charge when buying any combo meal at the same Coatbridge branch for the next 12 months, valid until February 11 2022.
Burger King said of their “tasty giveaway”: “Coatbridge will celebrate its one month anniversary and to share the excitement with locals, customers will need to greet staff at the window with a cheesy joke.
“Lucky holders of the limited-edition car air fresheners will be rewarded with a free cheeseburger with any meal bought at the drive-thru for the next year.”

The restaurant – newly-built in the B&Q car park, alongside a new Costa Coffee unit – opened on January 11 and has created 30 new jobs.
Chief executive Alasdair Murdoch said last month: “We know the people of Coatbridge love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we’ve listened to their requests and are very excited to bring all their favourites to their neighbourhood.”
The company adds that “safety is [its] number one priority” and that coronavirus protection measures are in place, saying: “These include additional personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves for staff, stringent cleaning measures and contactless delivery options.
“All staff are comprehensively trained on the government’s social distancing measures, including how to run kitchens hygienically whilst abiding by them.
