Free breakfasts for Newcastle armed forces veterans every month as breakfast club launches in Byker

The country's veterans are all absolute heroes and a club is launching in Newcastle which is giving them some hearty reward in the form of a free breakfast.

Launchpad’s Avondale House in Byker is inviting veterans to a breakfast morning on Thursday, April  4, between 10am and 12pm noon.

The informal gathering is a joint initiative between the charity and Operation Veteran for veterans to come together in a familiar environment and share experiences, access professional support and guidance and visit the house.

There is a complimentary coffee and breakfast bap for all who attends. To book contact Jim Owens on 07500 333 0430 or email  jim@operationveteran.co.uk

Avondale House provides accommodation and targeted support to help veterans stabilise their lives and cope with the transition from military to civilian life.

The house at 50 Raby Way on the Byker Estate provides 31 self-contained flats and supports residents to help them claim their benefit entitlements.

The breakfast club will be held on the first Thursday of every month.
