The transfer window may have shut last week, but there could still be clubs eyeing up making signings on the cheap, with a wealth of free agents currently available.
Whilst Bristol City did well to strengthen their squad in the January window, the Robins are a side who have been particularly active in the free agent market in the last 12 months.
Stefan Marinovic, Ashley Williams and Rodri all joined on free transfers to act as injury cover or to bolster a position that needed strengthening.
Whilst Marinovic and Rodri are hardly examples of successful free transfers - neither are still at the club and Marinovic's debut will go down in folklore for all the wrong reasons - it is a market that can prove invaluable to clubs looking for players quickly.
Clubs are still able to sign free agents outside the transfer window, provided they left their last club before the last deadline.
