Florida - November 18 - Frederico Maradei, a Brazilian American cheerleader and coach known for his technical expertise and international impact, is celebrating a landmark dual championship season highlighted by his 2024 World Championship title. On April 28, 2024, Maradei won the World Championship with the California All Stars Rangers (IOLC7) at The Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, Florida. The victory capped a remarkable two-month stretch that also included a national title at the 2024 NCA All-Star Nationals, held March 1 to 3 in Dallas, Texas.

This progression from national to world championship marks the most significant milestone of Maradei’s athletic and coaching career. It reflects not only his performance on the mat but also his steady leadership, technical literacy, and commitment to long-term development across multiple levels of the sport.

A Dual Champion in 2024

The California All Stars Rangers entered the 2024 season with high expectations. They carried the legacy of a dominant program along with the pressure of defending their national title. The team delivered. The Rangers secured victory at NCA All-Star Nationals in March, then advanced through a demanding Worlds schedule in April. Their final performance in Orlando closed the season with a decisive win.

Maradei contributed as an athlete on the IOLC7 roster and supported the team with detailed technical insight throughout the championship arc. His season reflects consistent excellence. He has now been part of a national championship roster, a world championship roster, and an internal leadership culture that has positioned the Rangers for continued success in the years to come.

Bridging Brazil and the United States Through Technical Innovation

Although 2024 brought Maradei’s highest competitive achievements, his impact stretches far beyond the performance floor. His roots in Brazil’s university cheerleading ecosystem shaped his approach to coaching, analytics, and rules literacy. When he began his athletic journey at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), accessible Portuguese resources for cheerleading were limited. This gap pushed him to develop his own materials as a young athlete and coach.

He created Brazilian Portuguese rulebooks, score sheets, and routine analysis templates that helped local programs improve structure and clarity. Collegiate organizers and federation leaders across Brazil later adopted these tools. The widespread use of these materials shows how Maradei’s early work contributed to the long-term development of a growing national scene. Today, he continues to support Brazil as a Technical Consultant to Instituto BRAVO!, where he focuses on rule alignment, safety guidelines, and program education.

This international bridge remains a defining part of his identity. His bilingual leadership allows him to support athletes, coaches, and judges in both countries. His technical frameworks also help unify terminology, expectations, and training styles between Brazil and the United States. Maradei credits this translation effort for sharpening his eye for detail, shaping his communication style, and fueling his commitment to a safety-first, data-driven methodology.

Advancing Collegiate and All-Star Programs in the United States

In addition to his achievements with the Rangers, Maradei plays a significant role in the collegiate space. He currently serves on staff at Westcliff University Cheer, where he progressed from athlete to Graduate Assistant to Assistant Coach. His responsibilities include progressions, stunt group development, routine construction, safety and deductions oversight, logistics, and recruiting support.

His collegiate record includes several national titles. Westcliff University won NCA College Nationals in 2023 during his time as an athlete, then placed second in 2024 while he served as a Graduate Assistant. The program followed this with significant victories at USA Collegiate Nationals in 2024 and 2025. Westcliff also reclaimed the NCA College Nationals title in 2025 under his role as Assistant Coach.

Maradei also provides advisory and technical coaching support to So Cal Thunder in a non-employment capacity. For the 2025 to 2026 season, he and his wife, Laura, are advising VOLTAGE, a Senior Elite Level 3 team. His involvement in these programs reflects his long-term goal to expand technical standards across all levels of the sport.

A Growing Judging and Standards Portfolio

Maradei’s expertise in judging and rules literacy is also gaining recognition. He has served on CheerPros judging panels in Fresno for the 2025 season. His background as an athlete, coach, and builder of rule resources provides a strong foundation for high accountability. His work emphasizes precise criteria alignment, consistent scoring interpretation, and safety enforcement.

His long-term plan includes expanding his judging portfolio nationwide and producing bilingual technical guides to support coaches and event organizers.

A Foundation of Academic and Analytical Strength

Maradei’s disciplined approach is supported by strong academic training. He holds an MBA, completed with honors at Westcliff University in 2024, and is currently pursuing a DBA at the same institution. He also has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UFU. His engineering background influenced his preference for film analysis, metric tracking, and progressive load management within cheerleading instruction.

His signature principle reflects this analytical mindset: “Consistency beats intensity.” This theme shapes his daily work with athletes, his research contributions, and his approach to peak week preparation.

Looking Toward a New Season of Possibility

Following their world championship win, the California All Stars Rangers are preparing for the 2025-2026 season. The team will pursue competitions at GSSA, Spirit Sports, NCA All-Star, and The Cheerleading Worlds. Their goals include a potential third consecutive Worlds victory and a fourth consecutive NCA All-Star Nationals title.

Maradei will return to the roster and continue contributing to the program’s technical direction. He will also maintain his roles at Westcliff University, Instituto BRAVO!, and So Cal Thunder’s VOLTAGE group. With a championship foundation and a clear technical vision, Maradei steps into the new season ready to push the program to even greater heights.
