Newcastle United's ambitious new owners have been welcomed to St James' Park by the last family to help deliver some success on Tyneside.
It was Freddy Shepherd who was last in the hotseat when Newcastle reached the Champions League back in the mid-noughties.
But a major decline under Mike Ashley resulted in just one European qualification - via the Europa League - since 2007.
Shepherd sadly died in 2017 but following this week's takeover, his family have released a statement which read: "We would like to wish His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Amanda Staveley and Rueben Family the best of luck in the future.
"With sound investment and community inclusion we hope the Geordie nation will be galvanised in their desire to return this great club back to its rightful place – at the top of European football on and off the pitch."
