Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
The Hoops have struggled to pick a settled number one this season after £5million arrival Vasilis Barkas disappointed and Scott Bain suffered from injuries.
A new number is understood to be a transfer priority this summer despite uncertainty over the managerial position.
Ange Postecoglou is the new favourite although a sporting director or director of football is yet to be appointed.
But players are still being looked at for next season and the Chronicle reports that Celtic have Woodman on their radar.
It’s unlikely Woodman will get game time on Tyneside next season with Martin Dubravka as first choice, Karl Darlow as back-up and ex-Motherwell stopper Mark Gillespie ahead of him in the pecking order.
However, there could be competition from Southampton while Swansea City, where Woodman spent this season on loan before losing in the [lay-off final at the weekend, are keen to renew.
Speaking after their defeat to Brentford at Wembley, Woodman said: "I hope this isn't the last game I play in a Swansea shirt.
"The main thing is to sort out my next step; if that's in a Swansea shirt then brilliant but if it's not, I have to crack on and that's football.
"I'm a Swansea City fan now; I'll be looking out for their results straight away, but football's a funny game and anything can happen. We'll see what happens."
Celtic have done well out of loaning goalkeepers from Newcastle in the past. Fraser Forster established himself at Celtic before winning a big money move to Southampton.
The opportunity to play in Europe could also appeal to Woodman, who had a spell on loan at Aberdeen back in 2018.
