Freddie Kitchens slammed for his poor 4th down play choice

The Freddie Kitchens honeymoon is over with the Cleveland Browns fans. Three games in, the rookie head coach appears to have lost the grace period for making odd choices or dumb mistakes.

After too many penalties and play executions that showed a lack of attention to detail–a reflection upon the coaching staff–the dam broke when Kitchens made one of the strangest play calls in recent memory.

Nothing got the critics up in arms more than the 4th-and-9 call from the Rams 40-yard line in the 4th quarter with the Browns down by 4. The draw play to Nick Chubb did not work, not surprising given the low probability of success.

Even some former Cleveland coaches got spliced in for good measure.

Bad, bad call.
