Freddie Kitchens rejects notion of moving Greg Robinson to right tackle

Now that Greg Robinson is back in the fold for another season, there is less of a question at left tackle for the Cleveland Browns. But Browns coach Freddie Kitchens still got asked about Robinson’s fate during his press conference at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine.

When asked if there was any consideration to move Robinson to right tackle, the head coach quickly shot that notion down.

“Greg Robinson is our left tackle as we speak right now,” Kitchens answered curtly.

The coach then added,

“We haven’t been on the field yet, so I don’t know. Our staff has been working hard trying to get our system in place on offense, defense and special teams. We haven’t, we are nowhere near that yet.”

With Chris Hubbard returning at right tackle, keeping Robinson on the left side ensures that the same starting offensive line as the successful group which finished 2018 in front of Baker Mayfield.
