Freddie Kitchens confirms Kendall Lamm’s knee injury but gives no timeframe

A bad situation at offensive tackle following Greg Robinson’s ejection got much, much worse when his backup, Kendall Lamm, left the season-opening loss to the Tennessee Titans with an injury. Lamm participated in just four plays before his leg got rolled up on from behind in a scrum.

Lamm was initially diagnosed by the CBS broadcast crew with a knee injury and ruled out for returning to the game.

In his press conference on Monday, head coach Freddie Kitchens confirmed that the swing tackle suffered a knee injury. As for specifics or possible duration of Lamm’s condition, Kitchens kept it vague,

“…we have not got a definitive length of time or anything like that on Kendall yet. Unless we got it from the meeting to this press conference, we have not yet.”

Justin McCray, claimed off waivers a week earlier to be a reserve guard, moved into right tackle while Chris Hubbard swapped to the left side. Second-year Austin Corbett, a tackle in college, was inactive for the game.
