Freddie Kitchens and 4 assistants attend Steelers wide receiver coach’s funeral

Freddie Kitchens and four of his assistant coaches cut their stay in Indianapolis short, as they attended former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver coach Darryl Drake’s funeral in Tennessee earlier today.

Kitchens and his staff made it back in time for kickoff against the Colts which was scheduled at 4 p.m. EST. It is roughly a one-hour flight from Indianapolis to Tennessee.

Drake passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019, after experiencing chest pain during Steelers training camp.

Kitchens and Drake both served on the Arizona Cardinals coaching staff from 2013-17.
