Freddie Freeman was mic’d up during his at-bat against Justin Verlander and it was pure gold

The best moment so far in the 2019 MLB All-Star Game in Cleveland is something that needs to become a thing in all MLB games.

I’m talking about how Fox Sports had Atlanta’s Freddie Freeman mic’d up during his first-inning at-bat against Houston’s Justin Verlander.

Because it was so gosh darn fun.

Freeman stepped to the plate and told Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez that he was mic’d up.

We then got to listen as Freeman asked Joe Buck and John Smoltz if a close pitch really was a strike (they correctly said it was) and then got to hear a fun exchange between Freeman and Verlander, that had Verlander yelling at him to swing the bat.

This was fun:

And those were some nasty pitches by Verlander.

But seriously, we need more of this in our baseball lives.
