Fred the Red hilariously trolls Leeds United fans during Manchester United friendly

The worst is always feared when Manchester United face of against fierce Yorkshire rivals Leeds United with the two opposing clubs' long running distaste for another, but it's doubtful anyone expected Fred the Red to be the one to cause the most trouble.

A tough test was expected for United as they faced Marcelo Bielsa's intense Leeds side, but instead they cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory.

Two goals in each half sealed the result, first from Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood and then from Phil Jones and an Anthony Martial penalty, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's style begins to take shape.

Even though it was a friendly and the clubs haven't met since 2011, the deep running rivalry did rear its head late in the second half as a bout of handbags between Ashley Young and Adam Forshaw broke out after they went tit-for-tat in some rough challenges.

It was thought that that was the most heated the game got, but in fact one supporter in the stadium caught footage of United's mascot, Fred the Red, winding up a number of Leeds fans at the Optus Stadium and they didn't take it too well.

The big devil busted a few dance moves and wiggled his bum in front of some Leeds fans, who responded by lobbing a drink at him and making some explicit gestures at the fluffy mascot.
