Fred Perry to open new Leeds store in popular shopping centre

High-end fashion retailer Fred Perry is opening a brand new store in Leeds city centre this summer.

The decades-old British brand, famed for its iconic polo shirts and trainers, has announced its impending arrival in Leeds with two giant photos of models wearing the classic clothing in the windows of its new shop.

It will open in the Victoria Quarter, with the new store setting up in a unit on King Edward Street, which was occupied by cycling fashion store Rapha until recently.

An official opening date is yet to be confirmed, with customers teased by a cryptic message which simply says: "Your new Fred Perry shop opening soon."

Once open, it will be just the second Fred Perry store in Yorkshire and will mark the end of long journeys for Yorkshire fans of the brand.

Before now, people in Leeds have had to travel to either York or Manchester for the nearest Fred Perry store, but that will soon be a thing of the past when the new shop opens.
