Fred names his three favourite Manchester United players

Manchester United midfielder Fred revealed his three favourite club legends are Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney.

The Brazilian, who held a Q&A with supporters on his Instagram page, was asked a number of questions about United, including his favourite place in Manchester, which he said was Old Trafford and the academy youngsters he rated highest at the club, with the 26-year-old name-checking Angel Gomes and James Garner.

Fred interestingly named Juan Mata, alongside Neymar, as the best player he had played with. He said Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi were the best he had ever faced.

The United midfielder has enjoyed a stellar second season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, after taking time to adapt to the Premier League following a £52million transfer in summer 2018.

Away from football in the Q&A he was asked by a supporter: 'how is the quarantine?' and responded "very well, just at home and enjoying the family", as United players - like all footballers and everyone else - adhere to government social distancing rules to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

He was also asked if he likes Manchester and said: "yes, whenever possible I like to walk with my family and sometimes travel around the UK."

It is not yet known when United will return to action. Fred has posted a number of videos of himself exercising from his home or garden. It is understood United gave each of their players an individual training programme to follow as they currently cannot train together as a group at Carrington.
