Fred makes Manchester United transfer wish ahead of summer window

Fred says he would love to see more Brazilian players at Manchester United.

The 27-year-old has shone at United this season with his transformation in midfield and is one of the front-runners for the club's player of the season award.

Fred's form in midfield has helped the club cope with the absence of star man Paul Pogba for the majority of the campaign, with the Brazil international establishing himself as a key member of the first-team squad.

United are looking to add top homegrown talent to their squad at the end of the season, but Fred thinks they should be looking at adding a few more Brazilians to their squad too.

Fred is only the seventh Brazilian to represent United in their long illustrious history, with Andreas Pereira the only other currently at the club.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still wishing to add three players to his squad at the end of the season and Fred is hoping at least one of them can be a compatriot of his.

“For sure, man," he told Esporte Interativo when queried on the matter.

"It would be cool to have more Brazilians on the team. Not much, we don’t need many. I’m kidding. But it’s always good to have Brazilians here to help.

"Everyone knows the qualities that we Brazilians have, and it’d be very good if some players arrive to fill the squad, to help here.”
