Freaky Edinburgh busker gives tourists Halloween fright in side-splitting clip

An Edinburgh busker was caught on camera as they caught out tourists in a hilarious prank while performing on the Royal Mile.

Posted to TikTok by user @poppy.tattoos on Sunday, October 30, the clip showed the performer giving a serious fright to anyone who was kind enough to pop money in their hat.

Setting up their stand on the Royal Mile next to St Giles' Cathedral, the act appeared to be a doll-like figure with a backpack playing a small guitar.

Playing out a series of songs, the illusion looked as if the doll was serenading locals and tourists with their guitar, as they performed alongside their top hat and sign asking for donations.

However, what many weren't to know was that inside the 'backpack' was the real performer, who would jump out at anyone who got close enough.

Sharing the clip online, the video quickly saw over 2,500 views, as a host of tourists were seen jumping out of their skin when the doll jumped up at them.

Sometimes opening the panel and shouting at passers-by, the busker was also seen running up to tourists, who got a serious scare.

Captioning the clip, user @poppy.tattoos said: "My favourite busker ever, could have stood there for hours."
