Frazer Clarke’s heavyweight title fight against Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva has been rearranged for November.
TKV withdrew from their initial October 25 face-off with an injury that he suffered in training.
The fight had been scheduled to take place at the Valiant Arena in Derby, with it being the first of the BBC’s new broadcasting deal with promotion company Boxxer.
The fight was supposed to be aired on BBC Two, and that will stay the same, as well as the venue itself.
Boxxer promoter Ben Shalom confirmed TKV’s withdrawal on Thursday.
"Jeamie suffered an injury in training and the medical advice was he can't compete," Shalom said.
"There's an extra edge to the fight. Frazer feels he's ready to win right now and is frustrated at having to completely change his training plan.
"Jeamie will be desperate to prove he's fighting fit and capable of beating Frazer.
"They have been quite respectful of each other up to now, but it feels like that's changing as emotions are running high on both sides."
The undercard is yet to be confirmed, although British bantamweight Francesca Hennessy will still be fighting against the former atomweight world champion Fabiana Bytyqi.
